ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

I am a mindful leadership advisor, executive coach, mindfulness & meditation teacher, author and public speaker. I am the Co-Founder of Profuse29 (www.profuse29.com) which introduces mindfulness and mindful leadership to organisations and individuals. My first book The Authority Guide To Mindful Leadership will be released in April 2017.

I offer meditation and mindfulness as a way to hack your neurobiology and increase self-awareness, which is the first step to self-mastery. My aim is to empower my clients to live with more presence, inner peace, gratitude and love for life - I teach with passion, sensitivity and insight, gained from years of personal practice and professional training. My clients include CEOs, creatives, philanthropists, global multinationals and start-ups.

In addition my volunteering work at St Joseph´s Hospice and Mind Charity gives me a unique perspective on living life right NOW with a sense of urgency and meaning.

As I care deeply about the transformational power of mindfulness practice, I feel grateful to be frequently asked to speak about mindfulness in the workplace and mindful living. I have recently been hosted by the London School of Economics, The Fiorucci Art Trust, Second Home and The Soho House Group.

Before making my passion my profession in 2014, I was trained as a lawyer, spent some time in strategy consulting and worked ten years as a board-level executive search consultant (Principal level) with two of the world’s leading executive search firms Heidrick & Struggles and Korn/Ferry International in Europe and Asia.
I have over a decade´s worth of experience in advising and coaching top CEO´s, boards and investors on senior leadership and people issues.

WHY MEDITATION BECAME MY PASSION

"On a personal level, the practice has given me more than I could have ever bargained for. While I was always quite a happy and optimistic person, there used to be a small background anxiety of something missing, of not being enough. It is through the dedicated practice of meditation and the methods from positive psychology that today the background anxiety is gone and replaced by a sense of fundamental wholeness, an inner peace that is always there in the foreground or at least the background, no matter what happens."

I was initially introduced to yoga 20 years ago and deepened my meditation and mindfulness practice while living in Asia. Mindfulness helped me to remain calm, focused and happy while juggling a demanding and hectic global 24/7 schedule as a board-level headhunter.

This inspired me to create a business that combines coaching and meditative wisdom and techniques to empower CEOs, founders, emerging leaders and high potentials to access their full potential even or particularly when under pressure. As a result I embarked on a 2 year part-time BWY certified yoga and meditation teacher training (at Triyoga, the UK’s leading Teacher Training programme) while still working full-time as a junior partner in a global executive search firm. I subsequently also qualified as a certified Mindfulness-based Awareness Coach (recognised by the Association for Coaching) and Mindfulness-based Interventions Teacher (MITT) after Jon Kabat-Zinn (recognised by the UK Mindfulness Teacher Trainer Network). I also attended courses in positive psychology and neuroscience. Over the past three years I have introduced meditation to start-ups, global multinationals, creative businesses and the government. In addition I have used mindfulness and meditation to help C-Suite individuals and start-up founders to access more of their leadership potential and creative genius.

"Meditation is for me like coming home and resting in the ground of being over and over again. It is no longer just a practice, but has become an embodied way of being."
